Otto Bremer Trust Donates $200,000 to Family HealthCare’s Moorhead Dental Expansion
MOORHEAD, MN - Family HealthCare’s Moorhead Dental Expansion Project receives a generous $200,000 donation from the Otto Bremer Trust. The funds will double dentistry working spaces from seven to fourteen, implement a dental education program, and open doors for an additional 3,000 patients annually.
Currently, about 9,000 patients rely on Family HealthCare for dental care, with almost 90% on medical assistance or utilizing sliding fee discounts, and over half of all patients being uninsured. Demand for affordable dental care exceeds our capacity, leaving 2,500 patients, including the most vulnerable, waiting for vital care.
Dr. Matthew Eaton, Dental Director at Family HealthCare, expressed gratitude, “The Otto Bremer Trust contribution will help uninsured and underinsured families access our high-quality dental care. We greatly appreciate their ongoing support for our dental services over the past ten years and look forward to the invaluable addition of the dental education program to our clinic.”
The Otto Bremer Trust, a private charitable trust in St. Paul, Minn., founded in 1944 by Otto Bremer, has invested over $1 billion in people, places, and opportunities in Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. Visit ottobremer.org.
